dead tired

i couldn't feel more pain. my feet hurts, my ankle hurts, my knee hurts, my thigh hurts and even my back hurts.

but it was for a cause worth while.

The Amazing Race. that was what the course was called, and it literally meant that. reported to school on monday morning only to find myself late. i was in paul chu's group!

incidently or coincidently, i was put in group4. GROUP4. i'm stuck to group4. and attached to each group was an instructor. lucky us! we had this really cute instructor who was just two years older than me. and although she wasn't really my type of girl, but having an eyecandy around really wasn't any harm. besides, she was really nice. and she's really fit, she does dragon boat and plays soccer. that explains her tan.

on tuesday we literally walked through singapore! and YES it was a race. we started from school and headed to adams road hospital. and that was just a tenth of the entire thing. plus we started at 5am, waking up at 4. man.

we then proceeded to queenstown prison after having breakfast at kap. note, all this traveling is done on feet. no bus or taxi is involved. next stop little india, where we found the little checkpoint tag behind a coca cola vending machine. and off to the merlion we went.

then was the most dreaded part, our next checkpoint was at turf city! thats all the way on the other side of the island! we ended up having a long two hour walk almost through the whole stretch of bukit timah road. my legs were already aching and i was sweating like mad under the hot afternoon sun.

we were all really exhausted. so we decided to give ourselves a really long break at turf city. which later we found out gave away our lead :( but we were really tired.

after lunch at turf city we walked to sji to get our next checkpoint. then finally made our way back to school. it was a long two hour walk back. i was whining alot but we pushed. yvonne, our nice cute instructor, ended up having a really bad knee pain on the way back. could tell she was in pain by the way she trudged back to school. poor her. poor me and poor group4.

i just want to sleep now. we didn't win, but it was a journey worth while. man, i missed my pillow.
