you're the angel among heathen weeds, agnostic lovegrass.

i'm tired of complaining about my life. haha seriously, anyway it always sounds the same, because it's always about the same old problems: homework, school, homework. always.

so it's always nice to take some time out to appreciate the things that make living life worthwhile even in the midst of school and homework. it never fails to bring a smile :) even though grinning in front of the comp in the absence of people may seem weird. haha.

copeland music is therapeutic :) it's the only music in my player that can drive me to sleep in minutes. right now i'm doing my iop script, then maybe later i'll do my chinese oral script. i'm sleepy :D

don't lose your head just for your heart..

To be able to breathe is already a contentment to life. Embrace life as it is and it will bring immeasurable joy to the heart. Do not be dishearten easily.

Words like "hard", "depressed" and "tired" should not be verbalized by yourself as compared to your parents. Your studies, health and family expenses all borne by your parents. Your "worries", forgive me for saying that, are like a tare seed in a granary as associated by your parents reponsibilities towards you.
Desires and mind-set will change in every segment of life. Maturity goes along with life experience and life experience goes along with duties and commitments towards others. And conscious of one own insignificance will lead to great principles.
A man of character and principles will stand by his own belief, unshakable even the earth tremble.

Playing a game of football or Frozen Throne does not necessitate you to win but to enjoy friendship and team spirit. There are finer things in life than winning.
People are incline to take the easier route out of difficult ones when they are force to make critical decisions under different circumstances.

"To succeed is nothing, it's an accident. but to feel no doubts about oneself is something very different: it is character."
Marie Leneru

To conclude, i must say that i like your poem. And lastly, be receptive to advises and comments.

i must first admit your comment is one of a kind, or at least nothing i've personally experienced before.

i didn't know how to react initially, since firstly you are a stranger, secondly you seem so much older than me :D it's kind of intimidating to an extent.

so anyway, thanks! that's one response that is certain. i'm kind of guilty of some of the things mentioned. inclination to slack in tough times, taking my dad and mum for granted etc.. so i think i'll treat this as a reminder.

i'll also remember what you've written, and i hope you practise what you preach my anonymous friend :D

You are most welcome, my young friend. To see you reply already shows the mark of a responsible man. And i am not that old either, i play Frozen Throne and FIFA 07 too.

When you wake up in the morning, appreciate the sunrise, feel the thawing wind, listen to birds singing and watch the leaves rhythmic movements. The world is full of happiness and only those who shut their eyes could not grasp the gifts of nature.

To be honest, i am still learning to be a better person and learning to my definition, is a journey not a destination. Remember that it is what you do and how you react that defines your character, not of what you own.

My thoughts are incline towards Chinese philosophers(Lao Tzu, Chuang Tzu), but your teachers in school should be able to induce wisdom of other philosophers for your well being.

Yap, that's all i have to say. And thanks for replying, so long my young friend!!!

my course of study requires the compulsory study of philo (although i don't quite like it), so i have at least a basic idea of eastern and western philosophers alike. while you may seek refuge in philosophies that focus on individuality and inter-personality (whatever you call it), you do get what i mean.. let me introduce you to this thought:

we, and everything material around us, are the creation of an omnipotent being. one not devoid of the morality that eastern philosophers seek to refine, instead is a being so filled with love, yes love :D that he is willing to die a human death to save us, from our lack of morality amd sinful living.

you might think this as the usual christian propaganda, and you probably are familiar with theology i speculate. however, i can't move, forgive me for saying, the wilful atheist if they set their minds to blot out thoughts of a possibility in the existence of God. so, i'm asking nicely :D give it a thought.

what say you my friend?

Wow, can't believe we are discussing about the existence of God! I do not know how well verse are you in Chinese Philosophy. I myself have never deny God existency. And the Sages or eastern philosophers don't deny that too. For example, Chuang Tzu chapter 17-Autumn Floods :

"What man knows is not to be compared with what he does not know. The span of his existence is not to be compared with the span of his non-existence. With the small to strive to exhaust the great, necessarily lands him in confusion, and he does not attain his object."

I like this chapter 17 very much, and the above extraction is only a small part of the chapter. You can try to study and comprehend this chapter if you have the time.

I personally felt that Religion and Philosophy do not contradict each other, in fact they complement each other. They exist to ameliorate mankind's fault and vulnerability.

That's it for now, take care!
