HIATUS

Its official. I'm on a break, from:

1. Doing fun stuff on the computer.
2. Soccer, unless its during PE.
3. Sleeping during non-sleeping hours ie. after lunch, before dinner.
4. Hanging out.
5. My guitar, unless its practising for my practical on the classical.

Thats it. Oh yes, one more.

6. Blogging.

I'm done, on a long break till the end of the exams. I have to study hard this time. And its not helping when your birthday is one day before the first paper :( Haha, but i'm happy 'cos my mum's getting me a good acoustic guitar on my birthday! :)

You won't believe what I'm doing now.. I'm listening to Prokofiev, in a desperate attempt to try to pass MEP. Its on repeat mode and its been playing for the past 2 hours while I try to finish my ISO.

ha, thats all. See you all in three weeks, to be continued..

Thursday, April 13

The week ended early.

I finally finished all my due chinese homework. Only leaving me with maths, chemistry and physics. Plus an essay and my ISO final report.

THATS A WHOLE LOT OF HOMEWORK.

Plus there's service in the morning tomorrow and a Haydn concert by SSO at night. I have counting score duty for Saturday's OM and YF in the afternoon. That leaves me with friday afternoon and sunday night to finish my homework.

Yet, even though my schedule is in disorder,

There's always time for God.

It will be Good Friday in 45 minutes time. The day of ultimate self-sacrifice.

Sunday, April 9

and the week ends. or the weekend ends.

Twas the most depressing time of the week. The Arsenal Man Utd match just started, but I won't be catching it. My mum wants me to sleep.

I played the guitar for YW for the first time today. It always was only for YF. Its kinda scary having the mic at your sound hole. I'm depressed by the fact that I still do not own an acoustic. Haha, I'm still holding on to the $100 classical the school forced us to buy in sec 1. I've only changed the strings once in the four years :D

I want an acoustic for my birthday! I'm going to appeal to my mum and dad. Bug them till they buy me one :D If that doesn't work.. I'll beg!

Thursday, April 6

Amidst the tention of anticipating the arrival of the mid-years, I realise something.

I'M A DARN SLACKER :)

So much for my new year resolution.

Thanks to Arsenal progressing through the champions league, I have to stay up late more. Its like 2 in the morning now, another half an hour to kick off. Thrash thrash thrash juventus!

And I can't believe MEP practicals are in 20 days. I haven't been playing any pieces since my last exam, subconsciously I just realised that. I'll probably have to play my grade 8 pieces, cos' they are the only songs i know X)

We had a change in A maths teacher. Mrs Ong is moving on to teach the year 5s and we got this new guy. He's kinda short, but.. he's nice :) and unintentionally funny. I hope he's a good teacher too, cos' if he's not.. DOOM.

And and, I have this sudden crave to eat Mamee Monster.

Monday, April 3

As I recall with my stomach turning
I was hiding away from myself, away from you
Like nothing, though something was terribly wrong
And I admit that I was only waiting for the right time
Night time, the right moment for you to look away
Though you never did, I pretended for a while
So I could walk where I don't belong

And I remember every word you said
Come back in time, come back
And I remember I would soon be dead
Now so pitiful, so pitiful

But I know as I hammered those nails into your beautiful hands
Your eyes still try to search for mine, but I look away
Now your eyes are the only thing that can save me
I'm still afraid of them piercing
You're breaking into my prison
Just pretended for a while
My soul is dying
I won't look away

And I remember every word you said...

I'll remember every word you said
This time I won't look away

The three people I respect most, in order of merit:

Number 3:
Cesc Fabregas
Occupation: Professional Soccer Player
Nationality: Spain
Age: 18
Club: Arsenal

Firstly, he is one of the youngest first team central midfielders that are actually good. I can't think of anyone else 18 who can be compared to the likes of Fabregas in midfield. He matches the likes of Rooney and Messi, being one of the few teenagers enlisted into the various National teams.

He outwitted, outplayed, outpaced his mentor on the pitch. His swift maneuvers and speed get past even the most experienced of experienced players.

Not only is he talented, he is not that bad looking too. Haha.

At the age of tender 18, he is already such an immovable force on the field. I can seriously imagine his achievements seasons from now. Oooh

Number 2:
Thierry Henry
Occupation: Professional Soccer Player
Nationality: France
Age: 28
Club: Arsenal

My favorite striker and all time soccer player. His fancy moves and precise shots. His goals, his assists, his grace in front of goal. It cannot be described with mere words :)

Arguably the best striker in the world. That explains why the whole world wants him. I just love Thierry Henry.

Number 1:
Arsene Wenger
Occupation: Soccer Manager
Nationality: France
Age: 56
Club: Arsenal

The reason why I admire Wenger the most is his brain. The one that spotted Robin Van Persie from Feyernoord and Henry (then struggling right winger) from Juventus. He even spotted the young Fabregas at the age of 17.

How he put together an inexperienced team of mostly 22 and under and how he gave them the belief that they were better than what they actually are.

The result, they played like they had been playing professional football for the past decade. Slicing past more experienced players from the likes of Zinedine Zidane, Ruberto Carlos, Patrick Viera..

Bending away from the influential financial power of Chelsea's multi-billionaire owner, Wenger did not buy the best and most expensive players like Chelsea did. He did not offer ridiculuos amount of money for players that performed above average for a season. Instead, he used his magic finger and found players like that of young Eboe and Fabregas, which turn out to show great potential.

And is it me, or does 'Arsenal' and 'Arsene Wenger' sound similar. I just hope that Arsenal would win the Champions League. I know they can :)

Saturday, April 1

and I didn't go for YF. Thanks to flu. And i couldn't do my homework, cos i felt too sick to move :(

And oh, on a happier note, Arsenal won Villa 5-0 :D

Even better: Bolton and Tottenham lost their games! :D:D
